Big Knickers

When I was a little girl, living in India, I loved various pairs of bloomers my mum made for me, with frills at the back, in various shades of pink, orange and red.
Wearing them represents some of my earliest, childhood memories...

I found this pattern for

Big Girly Bloomers

and thought I'd make a few for Nina

Using some left over fabrics (the heart one is vintage, bought from a flea market), and bias binding around the waist and leg openings, they are so easy to make.

Hopefully the sun will shine, so I can put them on her (maybe over some tights, as it's fast approaching winter).

  1. Lovely post! I have no idea how you find the time and energy. Bias binding + elastic = cursing and swearing for me.

  2. Thank you Lorna. Love bias binding. Makes life so easy for edging ANYTHING.
Time is limited... energy is even less available. But keeping my hands busy gives me energy and relaxes me.
    See you soon. xb.
